MarinaI graduated with a bachelor's degree in physiology from Tashkent State University in Uzbekistan. Since then, I completed a master's program at the University of Wales where I received my Master of Law in International Maritime Law. In addition to my two degrees, I also have certificates from various programs at the USC Medical Center and at UCLA Extension. As a tutor, I've worked with students of all ages and helped them improve their skills in the Russian language, as well as biology, chemistry, and even Jewish studies. My experience has taught me that one of the best ways to empower someone is through education, which is why I find tutoring to be one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had. As someone who's passionate about learning new things and improving my world knowledge, I love having the opportunity to share my own real-world experiences with anyone who's interested. Also, I believe in setting goals and helping my students work to achieve those goals through challenging exercises and classroom guidance. It's my goal to help a new generation of people become well-rounded students and professionals who enjoy learning new things. When I'm not tutoring, I love traveling abroad, going to museums, and reading a new book.

DanaI received my undergraduate degree in molecular biology and biochemistry at Rutgers University. I began tutoring as an eighth grader, helping my fellow classmates understand chemistry and preparation for a big exam. I worked in the learning center as a high school student tutoring science and math subjects. After I finished my degree, I worked in the pharmaceutical industry, but I also continued on as a tutor. I enjoy working with students of all ages, and I'm adept at explaining difficult topics in ways that are easier to understand. I'm very patient when I work with students, and I find it very rewarding to help students find academic success. I can tutor algebra, calculus, multivariable calculus, chemical and biomolecular engineering, chemistry, biology, Russian, essay writing, English, ESL, and more. In my free time, I like to play the piano, play with my dog, and spend time with my kids.

AvnerAs a tutor, I was want my students to develop the ability to become self-sufficient learners. I am in essence trying to work myself out of a job! I work alongside the student when solving problems, and I try to give as little help as I can to guide a student in the right direction. I tell students that with determination and patience they can solve any problem. If a student is missing something they need to be able to know how to solve the problem, I will cover that with them before we move up. As a high school student, I struggled with math and physics topics myself, so I can provide students with techniques that I used to work through my learning obstacles. I've been tutoring for six years, and this method is very effective. I am looking forward to tutoring students in algebra, calculus one through three, differential equations, elementary math topics, geometry, middle school math topics, multivariable calculus, differential equations, pre-calculus, statistics, trigonometry, and physics. In addition I can tutor students in Russian and Hebrew. In my free time, I enjoy practicing martial arts, chess, soccer, and snowboarding.
