JaneI went to Washington University to earn my neuroscience degree along with biophysics and math minors. I'm looking forward to attending medical school in the future, and my goal is to become a physician. I love teaching as well, and I hope to be able to educate future physicians as well is patients in my career. I began tutoring as a high school student, assisting peers with calculus, pre-calculus, trigonometry, and others. I found it very rewarding to help students overcome learning obstacles to achieve success. When I was a college student, I had the opportunity to assist in statistics courses, helping students work through the math in the course as well as R programming. In addition, I was able to teach students both the science and history of astronomy. I'm currently teaching Chinese to first-graders and I am helping students prepare for the organic chemistry section of the MCAT exam. Other subjects I am comfortable tutoring include chemistry, biology, physics, geometry, algebra, Mandarin Chinese, study skills, organizational skills, neuroscience, neurobiology, pre-calculus, pre-algebra, and other test preparation. When I have spare time outside of studying and tutoring, I like to study astronomy for fun, go fishing, and swim.
