SpencerI graduated from SUNY- Stony Brook with a bachelor's degree in applied math and statistics. My concentration was physical sciences. As an undergraduate, I was able to serve internships in research in Maryland and New York. This experience gives me insight into tying complex academic concepts into real applications. My tutoring experience includes helping my peers with linear algebra, statistics, probability, physics, and others. My specialty as a tutor is calculus, because I enjoy the challenge of helping others learn this difficult topic. When I work with students, I utilize a lot of practice problems and explain things along the way. I also utilize a laid-back and comfortable environment to help students stay positive and engaged. In my free time, I enjoy sports. I both play and watch hockey, basketball, soccer, and football. I also enjoy music, movies, and time with friends.
