Get help with Precalculus and find a Precalculus Tutor to help you learn, practice, and master the concepts of this important math topic. Any Precalculus tutor will need to teach the following and the required topics any precalculus tutor will teach you.
Exponents, Canceling & Rational Expressions
Combining exponents, canceling terms, multiplying rational expressions and equations, multiplying and dividing variables with various exponents, negative exponents: if it's got an exponent, this chapter covers it.

Factoring (of all types)
In these videos we'll cover all forms of factoring, from "factoring stuff out" to quadratics to sum and difference of cubes. We'll also learn factoring by usubstitution.

Roots, Radicals, Rationalizing Denominators, & Rational Exponents
This chapter covers everything you'll ever be asked to do to or with a root or a "rational" (fraction) exponent. Topics covered: simplifying roots & radicals, reducing roots, dividing roots, addingsubtractingmultiplyinganddividing radicals, and rationalizing denominators.

Solving Quadratic Equations

"Quadratic" means "squared", for some reason, so this chapter is about solving equations with x^{2}'s in them. You'll have to learn several tricky techniques square rooting, factoring, completing the square, and/or the Quadratic Formula but I give you tips to make them easier, and to decide which to use in different situations.

Projectile Motion

This chapter covers Kinematics, which is the equations of motion used in problems about flying objects. Onedimensional and twodimensional gravity problems, range, vector components of velocity, etc.

I earned my bachelor's degree with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and am now at the same institution, pursuing my MD/MPH in Public Health and Medicine. I've been working as a tutor from the time I started college. I've had the opportunity to tutor students online and in person, and all age levels from kindergarten all the way through the senior high school year. I have successfully assisted many students as they worked to achieve success in their academic life. As my degrees might indicate, I lean towards tutoring in the math and science areas, such as basic math, algebra, and advanced math topics like precalculus and more. But I am also capable of tutoring students in language arts classes, including reading and writing, and can help students as they prepare for standardized tests, such as the ACT. I've found that each student is unique, and have learned to quickly pick up on things such as their interests, best style of learning, and strengths and challenges. These enable me to create an individualized study plan for each student, which leads them to success, which brings confidence, which brings success, and so on.Education

I attended Tufts University and earned my bachelor's degree in math. I was able to graduate cum laude, and I also took many science courses on the premed track. As a tutor, I have seven years of experience working with students of different ages and abilities. When I work with a student, I find out what they are interested in, and then I relate topics to those interests. This helps keep students engaged in the subject and helps them better understand ideas, while also helping retention. Beyond just explaining subject matter in improving a student's understanding, I also encourage the student to like the subject as well. I am looking forward to helping students with algebra, calculus, differential equations, precalculus, trigonometry, biology, chemistry, and other related topics. In my free time, I enjoy music, photography, cooking, traveling, and juggling.Education

I am most passionate about tutoring in math. I have a love for the subject, which is reflected in my teaching. I have found that when a pupil wants to learn the material and puts in the time and effort, we can accomplish a lot together. My tutoring method is done in a way that leads my pupils to want to be independent learners. I also give them well thought out and detailed explanations of complex concepts and work with them to solve the problems. Then, I give the student with methods to find out information and learn in a way that they can use the rest of their lives. As far as my experience, I recently graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, I specialized in pure mathematics. Right now, I am going for my PH.D. and ultimately I strive to become a math professor. When I was earning my bachelor degree, I was a math tutor for many classes. I was also a teacher's assistant for precalculus classes. Now, I am looking to add private tutoring into the mix. I want to put my knowledge to use and share it with others.Education
