I am a University of Houston-Clear Lake student pursuing a bachelor's degree in mathematical sciences. I have two years of experience as a tutor, including year at the math center at San Jacinto College. I enjoy tutoring because I can work with students individually. I work with students of all ages and levels of ability and many different subjects. I always enjoy helping students learn and develop self-sufficient learning skills. I can tutor students in algebra, calculus, chemistry, physics, trigonometry, multivariable calculus, pre-calculus, study skills, and other related science and math topics. When I have free time, I like to read, play the piano, spend time at the park with my dog, and practice martial arts. I have 10 years of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and I enjoy the discipline it provides me both physically and mentally. I also like to travel.Education

I'm attending the  University of Houston-Clear Lake for my bachelor's degree in math. I'm also pursuing teaching certification for high school and middle school. Currently I am student teaching as well. My favorite subject in math is algebra, but I also like tutoring students calculus, geometry, and other math courses. I can also help students learn physics. I know a lot of students don't like math, and they may think it's too hard. When I work with students I'm enthusiastic about math and I explain why it's important and how it works. This helps students better understand math topics and keeps them engaged. I love to help others, and I want them to succeed. In my free time, I like to get outside, listen to music, paint, and read.Education

I spent five years in the United States Navy. I went to Rice University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in political science and government. I will be heading back to Rice to earn my master's degree in teaching. My favorite subject is math, but I also enjoy government, history, and physics. When I work with students, I focus on an effective and fun teaching style that is student centered. Every session is a little bit different, just like my students. I'm looking forward to tutoring algebra one, algebra two, geometry, pre-calculus, physics, history, government, trigonometry, high school and college level physics, and college algebra among others. I can also help students prepare for standardized tests and admissions exams. In my free time, I like to read, play the violin, and golf.Education
