RephaelI attended the University of Texas at Arlington, receiving a bachelor's degree in economics. My emphasis was business modeling and management. I can tutor an array of subjects, but my favorite is mathematics, and in particular algebra. I know math is difficult for some students, but I can make it fun. The most rewarding thing for me as a tutor is helping students achieve success. When students struggling with learning obstacles in math suddenly understand it, I feel very gratified. I like to start at the fundamentals of math and make sure students have that down, and then I build from there. When I have free time, I like to read, listen to new music artists, collect coins and vinyl figurines, play disc golf, ride my bicycle, and do financial analysis.

MichaelI am an aspiring medical professional currently enrolled at Cal State - Fullerton, where I am working toward my Pre-Health Certificate. I tutor students in general chemistry, physics, biology, and organic chemistry at CSUF's College of Natural Science and Mathematics. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the Haas School of Business at UC - Berkeley. Â I have been an outstanding student all my life, and am comfortable tutoring students of all ages from a wide variety of backgrounds. I began tutoring while I was still in high school, and worked with students on mathematics, English, history, and biology at both standard and AP levels. My Pre-Health background also gives me a great foundation from which to tutor students who are preparing for standardized tests like the ACT, PCAT, MCAT, and OAT. I am also able to tutor students who are studying for the general SAT and the SAT Subject Test in Biology E/M. Academic dedication, good study habits, and organization are three qualities I aim to impress upon each of the students I tutor, no matter what subject we might be working on. When I'm not in class or tutoring, I enjoy all types of outdoor activities!

DarcyAt the age of 19, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Science Foundations from Bard College at Simon's Rock. Upon graduation, I was accepted by the New York City Teaching Fellows, where I obtained my master's in Education. During that time, I focused on students with disabilities and mathematics education. A large part of my tutoring experience has been in math and special education. I frequently work with students on math concepts from Elementary Math and Pre-Algebra to Geometry, Statistics, and Trigonometry. I am also able to assist students with preparation for the Regents, the GRE, and the SAT. I like to tutor students one-on-one as I find it easier to make a real connection. When meeting with a new student, I strive to identify that student's unique strengths so I can use that as a foundation from which we can begin. Since some students find Math intimidating, I try my best to share my love of the subject and make it as accessible as possible. I want to help students find math as exciting, intriguing, and relevant as it has always been for me. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy cooking, reading, and kayaking on the rivers of New York City.
