My tutoring philosophy is that I need to guide students along the way of their own learning path rather than get in their way with lectures. I lead the student to understand the process of problem-solving rather than giving away the answer. For students to be successful, they need to be able to find their own path, and it is my role to communicate with them and fill in the gaps along the way. I also provide patience and support, along with hands-on activities and other resources to help students better understand and retain information. My ultimate goal is for students to become self-sufficient learners. I'm excited to tutor students in Spanish, math, Java and C programming, computer literacy, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and others.Education

I earned two associate degrees from Milwaukee Area Technical College. My computer science degrees have an emphasis on networking and programming. I started tutoring others around the school during my second year and even began working at MATC as a tutor. I work as an educational assistant in the Academic Support Center Computer Lab at the moment. There, I assist students in using the computers and working the software. I teach others to use Microsoft Office from basic to more advanced forms of operation. I am capable of tutoring students in computer science and technology. I am skilled in Visual Basic, Java, C/C++, C#, and other scripting languages. I can teach others to use all the most common operating systems that are available, including Mac OSX, Linux, and all Windows versions. Out of the broad range of subjects I tutor, my favorites are Microsoft Office and SQL. I can tutor elementary to college levels of computer science. When I tutor a student, my goal is to provide them with the skills they need to succeed in any course. I accomplish this by reinforcing important skills and concepts. Outside of tutoring, I am deeply passionate about music, from listening to writing to performing it.Education
