I love to teach, because I want to be there when students light up because they understand something new. I have 15 years of experience tutoring students in Spanish, and during that time I've been able to work with students across all ages and ability levels. I'm originally from Honduras, and I love sharing my language and culture with others. When I first arrived in the United States, I didn't know any English. I worked hard to learn a new language, and I know what it's like to face those challenges. I was able to achieve my goals as a student, earning a college degree, making the first time a member of my family made that accomplishment. In addition to Spanish, I can also tutor life sciences, elementary math, world history, social studies, English, art, handwriting, and general elementary school topics. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, doing crafts, knitting, sewing, and cooking.Education

I'm a classroom teacher, so I see the struggles that students go through with writing and reading every day. I've had the opportunity to work at the high school level and at the elementary school level. I worked in general classrooms with special ed students, and with ELL students. Every student is different, but there is always a way every student can solve problems effectively. I can tutor reading, writing, essays, English grammar, ESL, and handwriting, and I can provide homework support as well.Education

Having been tutored myself, I understand what an important skill it is, and why students need it in order to excel in their studies, especially those they are having issues with. Helping others achieve their goals is something I want to do. I love feeling as though I can help others accomplish anything they set their minds to. I'm earning my degree at Wayne State University, where I'm getting a bachelor's degree in Economics. I plan to go for a master's degree in Hospital Administration after graduation. I'm also part of the MedStart program. I can work with students on many different subjects such as Algebra 1, MCAT Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems, Elementary Math, MCAT Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior, Algebra 2, , GRE Verbal, GRE Quantitative, Honors Chemistry, Pre-Algebra, Chemistry, SAT Mathematics, Handwriting, Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems, Physics, Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems, Drum and Percussion, Math, General Chemistry, SAT, General Biology, Test Prep, Elementary School Math and Study Skills. My favorite things to do outside of work include playing the drums and dancing. I love to read up on the healthcare industry and trends, and am interested in entrepreneurship.Education
