The GRE Exam isn't difficult. You may be thinking that's the only thing between you, a high salary or your dream future, but it's not. There's plenty of ways to be successful in life and a graduate education is just one.
In fact, from my personal perspective, graduate education is way over-blown: it's really not that special. Yeah, I went to a great top 5 grad school, with a super great brand name, but that's about it. I got a good name on my resume and a lot of student loan debt.
So, there you go. Study the GRE, get a GRE Tutor, do your best. But if you don't do well, honestly it's no big deal. Find something else. There's a million and one things to do in life.
Enjoy it. Do your best. Learn and help people as you go.
Good luck on the GRE test.
ClaireI'm an energetic and an experienced language tutor with a strong background in math, history, and literature. I've had the opportunity to help students learn ESL, French, and Spanish, and I utilize a visual approach and lots of activities to help students have fun while they improve their understanding of the language. I've been able to live in France, Chile, and Spain, so I have insight into these cultures as well. Other areas I can teach students include government, essay writing, reading comprehension, and test preparation for the ACT, SAT, PSAT, GRE, and others. As a tutor, I focus on finding out what a student knows today and then building on it, along with helping students become confident in their abilities while they have fun learning so that they are motivated and can achieve success. In my free time, I enjoy live music, reading, riding my bike, and design.

BrettI work with a nonprofit for the past two years, visiting colleges and universities across the country to encourage students to participate in their local communities and provide their knowledge and insight. I'm also the editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Institute of Architecture Students, aka Crit. As a tutor, I like to take a teamwork approach. I want students to be active and participate in learning process, and I participate as well to guide them along and help them become self-sufficient in their learning. I help students work through their learning obstacles with effective communication. I'm a lifelong learner, and I try to balance work and play to keep myself and the student interested. I know the challenges and stress that students deal with every day, and I hope to help them by alleviating some of that as an effective tutor. I can tutor students in English, reading, writing, history, government, essay editing, and preparation for the GRE, LSAT, and other standardized tests. In my free time, I like to read, study urban history in America, and write. I'm also interested in sustainable agriculture.

AlexI'm a math tutor who prioritizes strong communication with my students and solid understanding of material. If I don't fully understand the topic inside and out, I can't truly explain it to someone else. Likewise, if I can't communicate effectively, then what I know is useless to someone else. I worked hard to build up my knowledge base and my communication skills to be an effective math tutor. I attended the University of Oregon to earn my bachelor's degree in math, graduating summa cum laude and earning a 4.02 GPA. I've had the opportunity to take several math courses at the graduate level, and I plan to continue on to earn a doctorate in math education. I have several years of experience as a math tutor, and I've also had the opportunity to tutor future educators in math learning. I have a strong pedagogical understanding to take complex topics explain them in ways that are easier to understand. My overall goal is to explain topics to students in a way that they can relate to help them better understand, appreciate, and succeed in math. In addition to math, I can also tutor students in economics, business, Spanish, physics, and test preparation for the SAT, GRE, PSAT, and other standardized tests.
