RaeI'm assistant director of the Museum of the Horse Soldier. I attended the University of Arizona for my bachelor's degree in history, and my academic base includes history, artifact collection, displays interpretation, and library and archival studies. I've 10 years of experience tutoring students in history, writing, and language at the college level. I'm a strong leader, and I have strong communication skills, and this makes me an effective tutor. I enjoy helping people understand topics and in developing critical thinking skills. I also focus on helping students to connect with the material we study through relating them to other topics and interests. I can tutor students in essay writing, essay editing, ESL, German, history, government, comparative literature, English, and other related topics. In my free time I like to ride horses, be outdoors, read, and travel.

JustinI have five years of experience as a tutor. During that time I've been able to share knowledge I obtained throughout my academic career, but I've also develop new skills and increased my tutoring library. I've helped students at the college, graduate school, and high school level prepare for admissions exams, and I have helped students of all ages learn humanities, science, math, and foreign language learning. I enjoy working with gifted students from top high schools in the New York area. The students present fun challenges and are always excited to learn. I've had the opportunity to run a nonprofit tutoring center, and through this experience I've acquired additional tutoring skills and a sense of what methods are the most effective to help students learn. When I work with students, I want them to learn the topic at hand, but I also want them to enjoy the subjects that we study. When students actually like a topic, they are more inclined to want to learn it. I also aim to help students develop problem-solving skills so they can face math and science topics and answer questions on their own. I'm currently studying computational linguistics for my master's degree, and I'm fascinated by the technology to interface languages human speak with computer science. I speak German, English, and Spanish myself, and I'm happy to help students develop their skills in these languages as well. In my free time, I like to do woodwork, cook, bike, camp, travel, do puzzles, write, and read.

JessicaMy parents are teachers, so I've always had a love for education. I always enjoyed attending class, and I brought this enthusiasm throughout my college career in my legal studies. As a law school student, I was able to teach at the University of Illinois. I spent two years instructing courses for written and oral communication. Besides law and communication, I also love foreign languages and experience in cultures via travel. I currently speak English, German, Turkish, and French, and I studied French language and culture at the Universite de Bourgogne. I'm excited to work with students and share my knowledge to help them discover their full academic potential. I'm looking forward to tutoring students in essay writing and editing, English grammar, reading, French, German, English, and test preparation for the ACT, LSAT, SSAT, and other standardized exams. In my free time I enjoy traveling, studying languages, getting outside in nature, exploring the city, adventure sports, and law.
