Shuang (John)I'm currently attending Syracuse University for my bachelor's degree in undergraduate engineering. During that time, I've been able to facilitate calculus on campus, which is a teaching assistant type role. I've also tutored electrical engineering at the college level. I have a strong academic background, and I enjoy helping students learn. I believe that every student can be successful if they set their minds to it. It's very rewarding to help students understand subjects and concepts that they didn't understand initially from classroom teaching. I can tutor calculus one through three, pre-calculus, electrical engineering, computer engineering, algebra, physics, GRE test preparation, and more. In my free time, I enjoy sports.

GarrettI love tutoring because I get to help students individually to achieve success in STEM subjects. My students tell me that my approach is effective in that I make them feel comfortable learning with me. I love teaching, and I want to go into education to teach physics. I was very lucky to have a physics teacher in high school that made me love science, and I want to pay it forward with my students. I can tutor subjects like algebra, calculus, geometry, elementary and middle school math, pre-calculus, physics, electrical engineering, computer engineering, and more. When I have spare time, I like to play racquetball, run cross country, hike long distances, and read science fiction.

EricI'm attending Swarthmore College for my bachelor's degree in computer science. I also have a broad range of academic interests, but I believe that these cross disciplinary skills allow me to form connections with my students and communicate with them in an effective way. When I work with students, my focus is on helping them understand the fundamentals of any subject so that students can apply that knowledge to answer new questions or solve problems. I believe that this is more effective long-term than memorizing formulas or tricks. I pledge to do whatever I can to help my students succeed. I can tutor algebra, calculus, chemistry, geometry, Mandarin Chinese, art, computer engineering, electrical engineering, pre-calculus, trigonometry, physics, computer science, essays, writing, public speaking, and others. I can also help students prepare for the ACT, SAT, and other standardized exams.
