PriyankaI earned my undergraduate degree from New York University in cinema studies. While there I also completed the curriculum  necessary for entrance into medical school and I'm currently pursuing admission into a medical school. After I completed my bachelor's degree I began working with students in under-resourced schools in Brooklyn. While there I found out just how important it is to be viewed as a leader and to make the effort to motivate all of the students I worked with. This is especially true for those students which face extreme adversity in their personal lives which frequently makes their academic lives that much more challenging. I tutor a broad range of subject areas, but my personal favorites revolve around the fields of math and science. Some of the courses I tutor include algebra 1 & 2, physical science, geometry, pre-algebra, elementary math, middle school math, public speaking, pre-calculus, statistics, trigonometry, anatomy, biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, physics, physiology, ecology, reading, writing, science, phonics, English, literature, and English grammar and syntax. I also enjoy working with students who are preparing for a standardized exam such as the SAT, MCAT, or PSAT. As I have worked with more students, I have come to fully appreciate that the student's attitude towards learning is frequently a reflection of his teacher's approach to the learning process. I make an effort to make a connection with the students I work with in order to make the learning process as engaging and effective as possible for each one.

LindseyI earned my undergraduate degree in international relations from Tufts University and I am currently enrolled in the graduate program at the Villanova School of Law. I am fluent in French and have spent time working as an intern at law firms in the United States and France to further build my resume. These experiences have given me a broader understanding of real world applications to most academic subjects. I have a passion for learning and helping others develop their own love of learning. Some of the subjects I tutor include algebra 1 & 2, calculus 1 & 2, math, science, English, elementary math, pre-calculus, comparative literature, conversational French, biology, reading, world religions, writing, literature, American and European history, government & politics, economics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, life sciences, and ecology. Additionally, I tutor many AP and IB classes. Another area of tutoring I find especially rewarding is helping students prepare for standardized exams such as the SAT and PSAT. I've found it is just as important to convey to students how the tests should be approached as what should be studied for individual exams. I strive to be a dependable and inspirational mentor to both my students and their parents as I work with them to achieve their academic goals.

CourtneyI attended the University of Notre Dame for my undergraduate work, where I earned a BS in Environmental Sciences, along with a minor in Anthropology. Following that, I went on to earn my master's degree in Biology, this time studying at Arizona State University. Now, I split my time between teaching undergraduates in biology at ASU, and researching various issues in aquatic ecology. Because I have learned to understand how patterns of the environmental processes connect in aquatic ecosystems, I am driven to be an ecologist. I also enjoy teaching, and am able to tutor students in all types of science subjects, like biology, ecology, and anatomy. I also am available to tutor in various English and writing classes, and am great at helping students prepare for standardized tests such as the ACT or GRE. Because I understand that each student is an individual, I design tutoring sessions to reflect each student's best learning methods. I enjoy taking the time to learn with them what method that is, and then we make a great study team. Along with content, I sneak in study skills like time management and organization. Some other interests I have are creating art and spending time outdoors in the sun.
