MaxI went to the University of Tennessee to earn my bachelor's degree in Spanish language and Hispanic studies. I was on the premed track, and I also earned a nutrition minor. I'm now attending the University of Tennessee as a medical student. I have a lot of experience as a tutor, and I've also been a GED instructor. I love teaching students about biochemistry thanks to the research I did for my honors thesis, and I'm able to help students understand concepts in the subject by relating it to research I actually did in the field. I also really love the Spanish language, and I have had opportunities to study abroad in Argentina and Mexico. I also spent a year at a children's hospital working as a medical interpreter. When I work with students, I like to provide lots of examples to make concepts more concrete in a student's mind. I want students to understand the fundamentals of a concept first, and then we will move into more complex examples. Following this methodology keeps students interested and engaged. Outside of studying in medical school and tutoring others, I enjoy listening to music and playing music with my friends. I also enjoy studying nutrition and volunteering as an interpreter.

KatieI am motivated, fun, and goal oriented. I have a bachelor's degree in biology from D'Youville College and a Doctorate of Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. My teaching experience includes working at colleges that were science and medical focused. I tutor in subjects that relate to the human body including dentistry, anatomy, nutrition, medical terminology, and more. I am passionate about these subjects, and I love explaining the topics in ways that students will remember. I know that each student learns differently, so I have learned many teaching methods. When I am not teaching, I enjoy running, being active outdoors, reading, and crocheting. I look forward to meeting and working with you.

DemarisAs a tutor, I believe that it is essential to be able to connect and communicate with your students. I have found this especially true when working with teenagers. I enjoy working with teens and adults, and I have been a teacher for over fifteen years. I enjoy individual in-person tutoring the most, but I have also tutored through Skype. I believe that it is vital to teach each student using the teaching method that is the most effective for them. I understand that some students are more visual and others are more hands-on. I can help with numerous subjects including dentistry, business, chemistry, economics, finance, biology, and more.
