LesI earned my electrical engineering degree at the University of Texas - Austin. I have tutored for three years, and I've given presentations on career development as well as served as a camp counselor. I'm currently working as a technology consultant, but I love helping others learn new things as well. I tutor subjects such as calculus one and two, algebra one and two, algebra 3/4, trigonometry, pre-calculus, physics, and SAT math preparation. When I have free time, I like to cook, write, ballroom dance, and go out to see live music.

KendalleI earned my undergraduate degree in psychology and social behavior with a special focus on K-12 education. I earned my graduate degree in organizational psychology from Columbia University. Over the course of my academic career I have been given the opportunity to work with a diverse student population in my role as tutor, peer counselor, and career development coach. I believe it is the diversity of students and exposure to so many types of learning styles that has helped me grow as an educator. I always approach my students with a curiosity about who they are and how they learn so that I am able to choose the best tools and tactics to help them achieve their academic goals. I currently offer tutoring services in pre-algebra, algebra 1, elementary math, reading, writing, essay editing, English grammar and syntax, psychology, public speaking, math, social studies, and English. Additionally, I have found that many students benefit from learning new study skills and organizational methods that can help them more effectively engage with the learning process regardless of the subject matter they are studying. I enjoy working with my students to help them improve their academic skills but also to help them become more independent and confident learners.

IngridI'm a native German speaker and I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. I then earned my graduate degree in curriculum instruction from the same school, and I was recognized as cum laude. I teach philosophy at the college level as well as general primary and secondary school topics. Due to my professional and academic background, I know how to individualize my approach for the needs of each student that I work with. I identify the strengths each student has and their learning style, and then I accommodate those to help the student find success. I have 15 years of experience working with special needs students from kindergarten to high school senior level, but I can work with special needs students at any age. I have a number of study skills and techniques to help students become better learners. I also have taught technical education classes, and I can help students in their career development. I often have the opportunity to help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which I feel are important in creating self-sufficient students. In my free time, I like to hike, play music, read, write, travel, and cook.
