MahdiI've always enjoyed math and physics, and I sought out opportunities to learn more about them beyond what I could get in high school courses. I went to Ferdowsi University of Mashhad to earn my bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering. I continued my studies at Sharif University of Technology in Iran to earn my master's degree in structural engineering. I then came to the United States, attending Rutgers University for a master's degree in geotechnical engineering. I'm currently attending George Washington University, where I'm pursuing a PhD in civil engineering. I have over a decade of tutoring experience. At Rutgers, I tutored students in AutoCAD, and I was a teaching assistant at George Washington University. Privately, I've tutored students in subjects like calculus one through three, trigonometry, logic, differential equations, algebra, statistics, geometry, regression analysis, physics, numerical methods, statics, fluid mechanics, dynamics, soil mechanics, structural stability, theory of elasticity, concrete structures, civil engineering, environmental engineering, and many more. I have also helped students prepare for the math sections of the GRE. As a tutor, I focus on presenting complex ideas in easier ways, breaking them down into segments that students can understand, and then building them back up. I like to give my students confidence in their ability to solve problems, so we start by working together, and I slowly pull back until the student is able to complete a problem correctly by themselves.
