SamI earned my bachelor's degree in philosophy from Villanova University and a master's degree in international education policy from Harvard University. I am also a Fulbright Scholar, and I have my CELTA certification in ESL with over ten years of tutoring and teaching experience. I have tutored students of all ages from children through teenagers, as well as adult students. Additionally, I have taught internationally and nationally, in private and public settings. I specialize in working with students who have learning difficulties such as autism spectrum disorder. I tailor each session to meet the needs of the student. I use many different methods to teach the same material. I look forward to working with you.

LiI believe that it is okay not to know something. I also think that we learn from our mistakes, and I cheer my students on. There will never be any punishment from me for making mistakes and failing to grasp something. I lived in Japan for many years, but when I returned, my grandmother re-taught me the Chinese language. My grandma believed in me and was a great mentor. With her help, I gained the confidence that I was lacking, and I successfully learned the language. I want to use the skills that I learned from her to help students, especially those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other learning difficulties.

GelarehI have been passionate about learning from a very young age. I have studied anything that seemed even the slightest bit interesting to me. I would wait for my older sister to come home and have her teach me what she had learned at school that day. My passion for learning continued, and by the time I hit school age, I was years ahead. I always stayed ahead in my schoolwork. My professional experience includes working as a private tutor and as a teacher's assistant as well. I can work with students of all ages and abilities, and I specialize in working with students with autism spectrum disorder. I enjoy film and spending time with my friends outside of work.
