I'm a graduate student at Drexel University looking forward to medical school. I have five years of tutoring experience, most of which have been spent with high school level and middle school level students on sciences and math. I also have extensive experience helping students with special needs, and in particular students with ADHD. It's very fulfilling to help students learn, achieve success, and become confident in their abilities. I am looking forward to tutoring students in algebra, biology, chemistry, geometry, middle and elementary school math topics, and special education needs.Education

I have more than nine years of experience teaching as an English teacher in K-6 ESL. I've worked with children on English as a Second Language from preschool age through fifth grade. I've had the opportunity to work with a diverse population of students, including those who are learning English for the first time, learners with dyslexia, special needs, and ADD/ADHD. Throughout the years, I've worked in a number of tutoring and enrichment programs. I've worked with students to improve their study skills, prepare for standardized tests required by the state, and worked with students who had yet to achieve the required proficiency in different subjects. I was trained in Orton Gillingham, which uses a kinesthetic and multisensory method for teaching, and this has been of great assistance to the students I tutor in phonics, reading, writing, spelling, and phonemic awareness. I love the challenge of making learning delightful for all my students. I value their feedback, and feel fulfilled when I can successfully engage my students. Students each have individual goals, and each student defines success in their own way. I understand this, and use such methods as technology, visual learning aids, mnemonic devices, hands-on activities, and even music to engage my students.Education

Learning new concepts in science and math can be difficult, but every student can improve their grades with the right guidance and some hard work. I enjoy working with students who have learning obstacles in math, but I also like to help students with C++ and other technology courses. I've also had the opportunity to work with students who have learning disabilities like ADHD and dyslexia, and I would be happy to help these students as well. When I have free time, I enjoy studying philosophy, reading, hiking, and playing with electronics.Education
