TatyanaI attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where I obtained my BS in Microbiology. I went on to receive my master's in the Russian Language and Linguistics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a master's in Biotechnology at George Washington University. I have always been delighted with nature, language, and science, and when I tutor students, I am able to share that excitement with them, which inspires them to love learning the way I do. I have taught both Russian and general biology classes in a classroom setting, as well as classes in microbiology and anatomy and physiology. I appreciate the opportunity to work individually with students, guiding them as they learn various math and science subjects. I pride myself on being able to create a comfortable and safe environment, where they feel confident to dig into scientific concepts, solving problems, and learning from their errors. Some of my hobbies include classical music, hiking, biology, and spending time with my family, including working as a volunteer in my child's classroom at times.

DianaI'm Diana. My love of science and math dates back about 10 years. As an undergraduate, I tutored students in calculus and physics. I quite enjoy the tutoring and teaching processes. It doesn't matter if a student learns better through developing unique ways to look at something or if they prefer to be led through the steps to find an answer. Either way, I enjoy the opportunity to help. In my career, I'm active in STEM outreach programs, encouraging students with diverse backgrounds to get interested in engineering as a career path. I'm proud of my academic background and my career success, and I take it as a responsibility to spread this to others.

DarleneI firmly believe that every child can learn math and science topics. I have been working with students of all ages from elementary through college for over thirty-one years. I have held sessions in the local library and in student homes as well. I would love to help with many math subjects and actuarial science. I earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in secondary math education. As a tutor, I encourage my students to find the answers to problems themselves. I am merely there to guide them when they need it. In my free time, I like spending time with my five grandchildren, traveling, and reading.
