JohnI attended the College of William and Mary where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. I have been employed as a scribe in a hospital emergency room, and I hope to continue my education for a career in medicine. I have always enjoyed helping other students as far back as when I tutored my siblings to assist them in not only keeping up, but getting ahead in their classes. I have found ways to put a variety of content in a different context or to rephrase it in order for students to more easily digest and retain the information, which is especially helpful to students learning new concepts. I look forward to working with you or your student on Algebra 1, Calculus 1, Geometry, Statistics, Algebra 2, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, College Essays, Arithmetic, Algebra 3/4, Biochemistry, Public Speaking, AP Calculus AB, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, Math, Science, English, High School Biology, College Biology, or College Algebra. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy having down time at home. I relax by cooking, reading, listening to music, or playing computer games.

AmyI went to Bellarmine University to earn my bachelor's degree in English and secondary education. I then proceeded to the University of Louisville to earn my master's degree in English, emphasizing creative writing. I've nine years of experience teaching English at the high school level, so I know how to adjust my approach to each student to help them understand concepts better. My specialties as a tutor are writing skills and ACT preparation. I encourage students to become lifelong learners who aren't afraid ask questions so they can find out what they need to know to be successful. When I have free time, I like reading, knitting, and poetry.
