MalcolmI completed a bachelor's degree in international relations at Wheaton College. I grew up outside of the United States, which has given me a unique perspective on the world. This experience allowed me to approach education in a different way because I had experiences that my classmates didn't. Additionally, I grew up speaking Spanish and French, which helps in terms of my ability to effectively teach others these languages. I am comfortable tutoring students in Spanish, French, and German. I have experience teaching in both Chicago and Thailand, which means that I am able to work with students from various backgrounds. In my free time, I enjoy gymnastics, freestyle dancing, writing, singing, and playing the trumpet.

High School English
ChrisI have a bachelor's degree in English from Wheaton College. I began tutoring about two years ago when my sister called and asked me for help with her college transfer and application essays. I was on the road at the time, but I looked at them extensively for her. After that, she told me that my feedback made her feel more comfortable and confident in her essays. I am confident that I have the skills and knowledge necessary to help my students succeed in English, test prep, writing, reading, and more. In my free time, I like backpacking and camping, religion, writing fiction, and reading contemporary and modern literature.

AllysonI graduated from college in May 2017 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in social work. Those two subjects are my favorite to tutor because they are what I studied. However, I also enjoy working with elementary and middle school students to help them develop a passion for learning. Most of my professional tutoring experience entailed working with students in grades K-8, including ESL students, refugees, and students with limited economic resources at their disposal. I have also done a lot of volunteering that prepared me to work with the general populace and every subset thereof. I can empathize with a lot of different types of people, making me very flexible in the students I take on. In my spare time, I enjoy the violin, mentoring, and participating in my Church's activities.
