MelissaI attended Buffalo State College to earn my bachelor's degree in early education, focusing on STEM education. I then went on to Canisius College to earn my master's degree in childhood education. As a tutor, I like to connect with my students and get to know them and their needs. This allows me to cater the way I teach to help students learn effectively. I tutor algebra, pre-algebra, elementary school math, middle school math, writing, reading, literature, public speaking, English grammar, study skills and organization, and test preparation. I can also work with gifted students and special needs students. In my free time, I like to exercise, read, hike, and get outdoors.

LukeI love tutoring, and my inspiration comes from the progress my students make. I love it when students realize they like a subject after they understand it better and know how it relates to their daily life. When I work with students, they often have that moment were they light up because they understand something we've been studying. Overall my students have been very successful. I'm attending Niagara University for my undergraduate degree in math. I can tutor students in elementary math, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, advanced calculus, multivariable calculus, AP calculus BC, and physics. I enjoy tutoring calculus because it's a difficult subject and introduces students to new ideas. I enjoy explaining in ways that students can understand and helping them master the subject. I enjoy music very much. I play the saxophone and piano, and I'm in a jazz quintet. I also enjoy sports.

KristenI love tutoring, and I have been doing it since I was 16 years old. It is enjoyable for me to see students make progress and develop an understanding of whatever it is we are studying. I have taken many difficult college courses, so I know what students are going through when they have difficulty with a topic. I also understand what a beneficial it can be to work with someone through the material you are struggling with at your own pace. I love working with kids, but my tutoring experience includes working with everyone from children to adults. There are a lot of expectations on today's students to perform well academically, and that can be difficult for students and parents alike to handle. When I work with a student, I am confident that I will help them improve their understanding and their grades by being patient, dedicated, and focused on their individual needs. My tutoring specialties include neuroscience, English, biology, and math. In my free time, I like to read, exercise, and play with my dog.
