DustinI'm attending the University of Buffalo to earn my doctorate in math. Prior to this, I went to the SUNY College at Brockport for a master's degree in math, preceded by a bachelor's degree in math at the same school. As a graduate student, I was able to teach math courses at the college level. I also tutored in the math learning center helping students with multivariable calculus, pre-calculus, algebra, statistics, and others. My specialty topics are algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. To be a successful math tutor, one needs to understand how students learn math topics. There many different ways to teach, and I try to understand how each student I work with learns so that I can change my approach to match their needs. I am always looking for new ways to keep students engaged and learning math. To learn math successfully, students need to be willing and active in the process. Overall my goal is to help students reach their full academic potential. When I have some free time, I like to go to the gym, watch movies, and get out in nature. Some of my favorite outdoor activities include camping, hiking, and biking.

CaitlinI'm an educator who is determined to help my students grow their knowledge base. I work with students by helping them develop learning skills they can use in any subject, and I also tie subjects together wherever possible to help them be easier to understand and retain. I tutor reading, writing, English, study skills and organization, essay writing and editing, literature, English grammar, and test preparation for the SAT, ACT, and other exams. I teach English, and I love reading in my spare time as well. I also like to knit and crochet, and I enjoy donating what I make to shelters.
