SarahHi, my name is Sarah. I'm a certified tutor who is currently pursuing a dual bachelor's degree in neuroscience and international studies at Loyola University in Chicago. I work as a tutor because I love helping other students discover their academic potential. As your tutor, I would be happy to help you with things like standardized test preparation, writing, social studies, English, and more. Consider reaching out to me if you feel that you would benefit from having extra help with one of these subjects. When I'm not working as a tutor or pursuing my own education, I enjoy reading, writing, and exploring Chicago. I hope to hear from you soon.

ReneeGrowing up, playing teacher was my favorite game. Now I am a teacher and tutor. I have experience teaching middle school students, high school students, and college students. I just retired from teaching at Saint Mary's College after spending 32 years as a French professor. I am happy to retire, but also happy to continue my passion through tutoring. I can tutor students in English and French. I have a Doctor of Philosophy in romance languages from Ohio State University, as well as a bachelor's degree in arts and French from Ohio Dominican University. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy needlework, knitting, and reading. I look forward to tutoring students!

NerodeI earned my bachelor's degree in Social Work from the Chicago State University, and went on to earn my master's degree in Elementary Education from DePaul University. From there, I became a public school teacher for students from kindergarten through middle school in the core areas of math, language arts, social studies, and science. I've had the opportunity to guide students towards successful performance on Illinois state standardized tests, the MAP and PARCC. In addition to teaching in a classroom, I have more than seven years of experience tutoring in one-on-one settings. I find that getting to know each other at the first session helps build a bond of trust that enables the student to learn.
