I earned my Bachelor of Science in economics from Georgia State University, with a minor in French. I then went on to earn my master's degree in middle school special education, and I am now certified to teach individuals in that area. My current day job is teaching pre-algebra in a special needs environment, and it is absolutely inspiring. I'm known to be patient and to be able to show how the math concepts we are learning will work for students in the real world. I'm available to tutor other subjects, such as beginning French, study and organization skills, and preparing for tests and standardized exams like the GED or PRAXIS.Education

My teaching career began at Trivium Preparatory Academy, where I taught English, Math, and Writing (grades 6-11) for three years. While I was there, I also worked with students in a one-on-one learning environment to help them prepare for the ACT and SAT. Each of these areas appeal to me for different reasons. English and Literature are fun to teach because they involve telling stories, while grammar and math are like fun little logic puzzles to solve. I believe that having fun is important to students of all ages, so I try to make every session as engaging as possible. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy recreational reading and writing, frequenting movie theaters, rock-climbing, paintballing, and spending time with my family. I look forward to hearing from you!Education

I graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a bachelor's degree in community health and preventive medicine. I also completed a master's degree in education at the University of West Georgia. I developed an interest in tutoring students in English when I discovered how many students were currently studying ESL. I wanted to create an environment that was private and non-threatening where they could practice speaking the language. I am able to tutor students in social sciences, high school English, and adult literacy among others. I can also help students prepare for the TOEFL and the ISEE. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, shopping, and reading.Education
