GraceI began tutoring when I was in high school, helping students with standardized test prep. While I was studying for the ACT and SAT, I learned many strategies for studying that were effective for me. Now I can pass along these strategies to others. Additionally, I can help with government and politics, history, writing, social studies, English, grammar, and more. I earned a bachelor's degree in English from Amherst College. I believe learning is about being passionate and inspired about the material. Teaching allows me to see the world from the perspective of each student. In my spare time, I enjoy drinking coffee, reading 19th-century novels, and playing tennis.

AngelikaI'm currently studying Biochemistry and Biophysics at Amherst College, and one of my volunteer jobs is tutoring those who are having difficulty with reading comprehension. I've been tutoring since my high school years, when I aided my fellow students in subjects like geometry, algebra, and biology. My college courses have been varied, centered in the STEM subjects of math and science. I'm able to tutor students in most levels of math, through calculus BC, and also in science subjects like physics, chemistry, and biology. When I work with a student, my goal is to use whatever method is necessary to lead them to understanding not just the answer, but why that is the correct answer.
