ShaneI have graduated from URI on two separate occasions: first with a bachelor's in English Language and Literature, then with a master's in Business Administration and Management. My educational career began when I was 19 years old and tutored my new stepbrother (freshly arrived from China and 13 at the time) in ESL. Ultimately, I helped him get into college. I also volunteered as a TA through a UVI initiative called MTI at a grammar school. Finally, I helped kids learn to read through the Rhode Island Family Literacy Initiative launched by Pawtucket Library. My favorite areas to tutor are Essay Editing, Writing, and ESL, but I'm also comfortable working with English, grammar, and syntax. In my downtime, I enjoy hobbies such as watching baseball (and other sports), reading, and basketball.

JamesHi, my name is James. I'm a tutor who is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mass communication at the University of Pennsylvania. I started working as a tutor in high school when my teachers began asking me to help students in their class who were struggling with writing. Since that experience, I've become passionate about helping other students as a tutor. I'm able to assist you with subjects like college application essays, English, essay editing, and general writing. When I'm studying or working as a tutor, I enjoy writing poetry, stepping, and helping others as a volunteer. Consider reaching out to me if you could use some help with your coursework in one of the subjects I specialize in.

FranklinI am a native Spanish speaker and can help you in all levels of learning. Tutoring Spanish therefore comes natural to me, since I speak the language and use it to communicate every day. My bilingual abilities have been invaluable in my projects and assignments as an undergraduate studying Sports Marketing & Media at Full Sail University. I've always loved helping others learn by conducting conversations in Spanish and working to improve their reading comprehension, so I can help you as well. There is more to learning Spanish than basic communication; it also helps you learn about different cultures. For me, it makes talking about sports all that more invigorating!
