ShelleyI'm currently studying clinical psychology for my PhD from Duke University. I use a lot of analytical skills, math, and writing in my work, and it so happens those are my tutoring specialties. I'm comfortable working with students at any age and level of ability, from elementary school through college. I'm skilled at keeping students interested during sessions, and I help students develop organizational and time management skills as well. In my spare time, I enjoy doing crafts, sewing, science, psychology, and dogs.

ChrisI have many years of experience working with students of all age ranges individually and in small groups. I love tutoring math because I enjoy helping students learn something that they may initially think is more difficult than it really is. I really focus on helping students improve their learning skills so that they can become self-sufficient in the future. It's great to see students work through learning obstacles and achieve success on things they never thought were possible. Subjects I can tutor include geometry, algebra, biology, chemistry, elementary school math, life sciences, nutrition, public speaking, physical science, grammar, English, writing, pre-algebra, literature, ESL, test preparation, and more. In my free time, I enjoy running, competing in triathlons, ballooning, robotics, and playing the violin.

AndreaI have many years of experience as an ESL teacher and GED instructor. I've also had the opportunity to teach ELL students, and to teach ESL and American culture in China. I went to Western Washington University for my bachelor's degree in East Asian studies, and I was recognized as magna cum laude. I can help students learn Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. I also enjoy tutoring English, chemistry, writing, and math. Other subjects I can teach include philosophy, political science, history, and more. I can also help students prepare for the SAT, GED, TOEFL, ACCUPLACER, and other standardized tests. When I have free time, I like to cook, dance, and sometimes combine the two! I also enjoy trivia.
