I am a graduate of Northwestern University, where I earned bachelor's degrees in both Psychology and Music Management. Having grown up in Florida, traveling extensively, and now living in Southern California, I have experience as a tutor with a diverse range of students in a wide variety of class subjects. I am fluent in Mandarin. I considered myself well versed in studying and teaching music, and I'm also comfortable tutoring many levels of math and English. In addition, I have experience assisting students as they prepare for standardized exams, such as the SAT. When not helping students in the classroom, some of my hobbies are cooking, working out, reading, and watching Netflix.Education

Teri
I have worked as a professional teacher for the last 15 years. I am a certified Elementary School teacher with an emphasis on reading and cross-cultural academic development, but I have had the privilege of working with students K-12 and even undergraduates in the past. My favorite subject is all levels of Language Arts, but I'm also comfortable working with the social sciences and elementary school math. I believe that students learn best when all of their senses are engaged, so I try to incorporate sight, sound, touch, and movement into every session. I also incorporate smell whenever possible, but that one is trickier to use successfully! In my spare time, I'm learning how to surf and enjoy yoga.Education

Sherie
My name is Sherie and teaching math is one of my greatest joys. I have the credentials to teach math, as well as a bachelor's degree in mathematics from CSU Northridge. I started tutoring math when I was in eighth grade. In my personal opinion, math should feel like fun, not a chore. I strive to help students feel more confident and interested in their math coursework whether it is algebra, calculus, geometry, trigonometry, or SAT prep. It is my goal to help students understand math in a way that works for them. In addition to my ability to teach math, I am also fluent in Spanish and enjoy ski diving, snorkeling, hiking, crocheting, and reading.Education
