VijayI think that every person has an individual thought process that must be understood in order to properly teach them. I think that because tutoring involves teaching at the individual level that it provides a much more effective learning environment than the traditional classroom is capable of. I love to tutor math, especially arithmetic, discrete mathematics, and algebra since they are very logical. Both math and science have been subjects that have intrigued me since I was a child. I think it is because they can be looked at from many different ways, which happens to be a specialty of mine - conveying concepts in multiple ways until I am able to reach each student. I also enjoy tutoring ACT preparation, geometry, and basic computer science. I like to teach math as a language that is perfect in nature and that its purpose is to explain the things that we cannot comprehend for ourselves. I think that because my goal in life is to understand others and to be understood by others that I am well-suited for being a tutor. Currently, I am studying game design at Full Sail University. During my free time, I enjoy music and video games.

ShannonI am very passionate about science and my goal as a tutor is to share my love of the subject with my students so that they can develop that same passion for it. Just about everything in our world is made up of the same atoms that are arranged into different configurations. I find this fascinating and it makes me feel like biology and chemistry are connected to everything around us. I tend to be very sympathetic towards students who have a difficult time with science because I struggled with the subject area at one point as well. I am comfortable tutoring students in a wide range of science courses, including biology, life sciences, chemistry, physical science, environmental science, earth science, biochemistry, microbiology, and organic chemistry. I can also tutor students in other subject areas outside of science, such as Spanish, studio art, English grammar and syntax, phonics, and Italian. My goal as a tutor is to interact with my students rather than just acting as a lecturer. I want my students to feel like I am designing their tutoring sessions to fit their personalized needs to ensure that we eliminate any confusion they might have about their courses. In terms of hobbies, I enjoy drawing, painting, and watching science documentaries.

MaggieI'm attending the University of Cincinnati for my mathematics degree, and I intend to go on to graduate school. I also am seeking a minor in German studies. I've always been fascinated by rhythm and logic, and I find that math and language satiate this curiosity within me. I love learning and education, and I'm privileged to be able to share what I know with others. I'm flexible, attentive, and creative, and I use those qualities consistently as a tutor. When I have free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, fashion, and stimulating discussions with friends.
