PaulI have taught and tutored for the past 20 years, both in classrooms and with individuals. I have an undergraduate degree in Biology, and also homeschool my own child. I know how important it is for students to master the basics of Study Skills and Organization, Reading, and Mathematics before they can move on to more advanced courses, and that may mean Summer Tutoring, which I am available to do. I'm experienced with both Special Education needs, and also the demanding Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate classes. I am comfortable with students of all ages and abilities, and look forward to helping with Algebra 1, AP Human Geography, Geometry, AP U.S. Government & Politics, Elementary Math, Life Sciences, Middle School Math, Ecology, Algebra 2, Spanish 1, Biology, Homework Support, Physiology, Math, Reading, Science, Essay Editing, English, Phonics, Social Studies, Literature, Business, American History, European History, Economics, Social Sciences, Spanish, Arithmetic, High School Level American History, College Level American History, AP United States History, Elementary School Math, Environmental Science, High School English, Geography, College English, IB Geography HL, IB Geography SL, IB Global Politics HL, IB Global Politics SL, IB Philosophy HL, IB Philosophy SL, IB Social and Cultural Anthropology HL, IB Social and Cultural Anthropology SL, Pre-Algebra, Spanish 2, or AP Biology. At home, I enjoy reading, listening to music, biking, and camping trips.

HelenI believe learning is a lifelong process where there are ups, downs, breakthroughs, and frustrations. Through it all, the opportunity to be rewarded with new knowledge always makes it worth it. Some students have lost their innate curiosity due to setbacks or being left behind in the classroom, and it's my job as a tutor to turn that around and help students develop the skills they need to learn independently and embrace academic success. I'm currently attending the University of Rochester, and I'm seeking a double major in international relations and molecular genetics on the pre med path. I've been tutoring ever since my younger sister was able to talk, helping her through various school subjects. I took a lot of AP courses in high school, and I also volunteered in an after school program to assist students who had learning disabilities. I find it very satisfying to help others learn, and I love the moment where the student lights up because they understand something new. I can tutor general elementary school subjects, history, algebra, biology, calculus, writing, trigonometry, psychology, essays, environmental science, precalculus, social studies, and others. When I'm not studying or tutoring, I enjoy playing tennis, playing my flute, doing yoga, practicing photography, drinking coffee, traveling, and more.

EricAs an undergraduate student in biomedical sciences at the University of Buffalo, I have developed skills and techniques that allow me to more easily retain information and apply knowledge, especially when preparing for tests. I really enjoy science topics, so I come into sessions with enthusiasm and positivity, which encourages students to face these tough topics head-on with me. I have never liked the droning instructor, so I try to keep things interesting and fun. Since I am still attending classes myself, I am current on the subjects I tutor, and students often look at me as a peer, which I absolutely am. In my free time, I like to play hockey, ski, and go wakeboarding.
