SophiaI earned my bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Chicago, and I love the challenge provided by teaching math. I do tutor in a variety of other subjects, but math is my number one passion. Math takes a lot of practice, so my tutoring reflects this no matter what specific learning style the student is most comfortable with, though I customize the specific methods for each student. My goal is to find a way to make math problems interesting to each student, and the one-on-one tutoring relationship provides the perfect environment for that. In addition to the particular subjects I tutor in, I can also help students successfully prepare for standardized exams such as the PSAT and SAT, among others.

HopeI have my bachelor's degree in elementary school teaching from Kean University with a psychology minor. I worked as a teacher's assistant in a special education class with kindergarten students for over seven years. From there, I earned a master's degree in reading teacher education from Manhattanville College. For three years, I taught guided reading and math at the third-grade level. I earned a second master's degree in curriculum and instruction with an educational technology focus. I also have a certificate in gifted and talented extension. I can help with English, math, and reading. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my dogs, walking, and learning and teaching new things.

ChristopherI am currently working as a chiropractic physician. I graduated from the University of Maryland-College Park with a bachelor's degree in general biology. I received my doctorate in chiropractic medicine from the National University of Health Sciences. I am capable of tutoring students in a variety of different subject areas, such as nutrition, conversational Spanish, and anatomy and physiology, among others. My goal as a tutor is to assist students in learning about various science related topics and helping them relate those topics to other areas both outside and inside of the science field. I always encourage my students to explore a wide range of topics so they can become well-rounded individuals. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, music, skiing, and golf.
