In my opinion, it is the youth that builds our community. In my experiences as a student, I've worked with incredible mentors who have helped me work towards my goals. I hope to now become a mentor to our younger generation. I have experience teaching organic chemistry and general chemistry. Right now, I tutor for analytical laboratories and lectures. I find science and math to be a part of the advancement of society, and want to encourage passion in students when it comes to teaching these subjects. Even though I am pursuing a career in science, I want to be much more than a scientist. I also want to give back to students.Education

Actions speak louder than words, but I need to put some words here to show you what I can do. As a female African American, I know that some portions of society will never take me seriously. However, I have a bounty of resources that I can help students draw on in their pursuit of their academic goals. For example, I serve as a student leader in my community and have empowered others to seek a brighter future. I also have a passion for serving others that has inspired me to pursue a career in the medicinal field. I am a dedicated, knowledgeable instructor who is flexible enough to adapt my sessions to your needs. If we work together, I know that we can improve your academic abilities!Education

Currently, I work as a special education teacher. I strive to help my students work towards their full academic potential. I prefer to design custom study sessions for each student, which include anything from games, to texts, to engaging visuals. I can tailor sessions to students depending on their grasp of academic materials, their age, and their skill level. I earned my bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of West Georgia and, from Georgia State University, I received my master's degree in behavior and learning disabilities. Before my current job position, I was employed as a substitute and assistant teacher. Through all of these experiences, I believe in the partnership between teachers, parents, and students and hope to provide a positive educational experience for everyone involved in my sessions.Education
