SharonHi, my name is Sharon. I'm a certified tutor who has a bachelor's degree in special education from Wesleyan University. I also have a master's degree in special education from The Citadel. I love working as a private tutor because it gives me a chance to help students in a one-on-one setting. As your tutor, I could provide you with a customized lesson plan that covers topics like literature, English, writing, and reading comprehension, amongst other things. Consider reaching out to me if you feel you would benefit from having extra help with your coursework. I'd love to use my experience as an educator to help you reach your goals in the classroom.

MichelleMy name is Michelle, and I am a passionate teacher with a year and a half of experience doing what I love. I am certified to teach Pre-K through third grade in the state of New Jersey, so I know exactly what your child is expected to learn and when. I am also familiar with several standardized exams that I've taken myself, including the PSAT, SSAT, ACT, SAT, and multiple Praxis tests. I also have experience preparing students for the PARCC test. Otherwise, I can help with a broad range of academic subjects such as Phonics, Elementary School Math, Elementary School Reading, Basic Computer Literacy, and Science. When I'm not working, you can find me spending quality time with my husband, playing with my puppy, hiking, or playing basketball!

JackelineI have over 15 years of teaching experience. I teach Spanish and psychology, and like to mix up my methods based on the material I am teaching. I feel that teaching is more effective when done so in a discussion, rather than a single quotation. I find that every student learns differently, and it is my goal to accommodate all of these different learning styles through my individualized study sessions. I believe in engaging students through words, visuals, sounds, and so on. Sometimes, less is more and students are able to grasp concepts with a simple evaluation of the materials. Whether teaching Spanish or language, I strive to help students feel more comfortable with their education.
