MaryI'm currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Ohio State University. As a tutor, my specialty is math. I had to work really hard to understand math, and I know what students are going through when they face difficulties. I can help students overcome their issues like I did, and I have unique perspectives that relate to their experiences. I tutor geometry, pre-calculus, trigonometry, biology, chemistry, physics, French, algebra, and more. When I have spare time, I enjoy bodybuilding, and I compete in bodybuilding as well. I also like to knit, run, and play the flute.

BrianI am a Clinical Child Psychology doctoral student at the University of Miami. It is here that my passion for teaching has blossomed. Although, I first had serious thoughts about teaching while I was earning my Bachelor of Psychology at Washington U. While I was earning my bachelor's degree, I was able to be a teacher's assistant and I loved it and every other teaching opportunity I have had since then. I have been a TA for each semester since then. I have also had experience running my own class, Introduction to Biobehavioral Statistics. I have really valued the mentors I have had and I strive to be the same valued mentor for my students. My teaching philosophy is it is important to guide your clients toward the answers, instead of dictating or lecturing them. I also believe that it is important to foster independence in your pupils. Students should be taught problem-solving and critical thinking skills. These are skills that will help them now, but also in the future. I want to be a positive role model for my students. I will be someone who is patient, professional, and kind. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve academic greatness.

AndrewI went to Ohio University, where I studied American literature and creative writing. I received my bachelor's degree in English, and I was able to really refine my writing skills and learn about a lot of great poets and authors. After graduating, I taught English in South Korea. I had been considering pursuing education as a career, and I found that I really enjoyed it. It was a challenge to learn how to function while developing a command of the Korean language, but I liked that so much that I stayed for four years. During that time, I taught at the middle school level, elementary school level, and tutored students of all ages. I'm now seeking my certification to teach in the state of Ohio. As a tutor, I can assist students with subjects such as English, grammar, literature, writing, essays, reading, ESL, TOEFL prep, GRE prep, and other test preparation. In my spare time, I enjoy practicing photography, exercise, reading, and writing.
