PatriciaI'm a tutor who is based out of Las Vegas, Nevada, where I enjoy traveling, watching movies, and studying Spanish when I'm not in the classroom working with my students. I have my associate of arts degree from Cuyahoga Community College and my bachelor's in education K - 8 from Case Western Reserve University. I also have a reading endorsement for grades K - 12. Finally, I went on to receive my master's degree in library science, information science also from Case Western. I now have a permanent lifetime teaching license. After finishing up my education, I taught for many years in the Cleveland School District. I spent a lot of my time working with at risk students, primarily in the language arts and Spanish. I have a deep passion for tutoring, and love being able to work with my students in a one-on-one or small group environment. As a tutor, I strive to be patient, flexible, and engaging. I strive to accommodate each of my student's needs and stay knowledgeable on the most cutting edge teaching methods. All of this combines to allow my students to get the most they possibly can out of our sessions together. I'm looking forward to working with you to help you make the most of your education.

NinaI graduated from college with a master's in educational leadership. I'm completing my master's in educational guidance and counseling. In my 30 years of educational experiences, I spent one counseling high schoolers, one in a correctional facility, two teaching juvenile sex offenders, six in administration, and 14 as a teacher. I am confident teaching and tutoring students of all ages, including gifted and disabled students. I am skilled in auditory, visual, and tactile learning and methods to ensure that I can get through to the student. I get to know each student on a one-on-one basis, building a rapport and learning what their needs are. By understanding a student's academic motivation and goals, I can teach in a way that guides them towards achievement. I prefer to meet in a library for private tutoring, where distractions are at a minimal level, though I can tutor anywhere. As a tutor, I believe that it is important to instill self-confidence and understanding in each student. By optimizing their learning opportunities, I can help them feel prepared to tackle any problem they may face. When I'm not tutoring, I love to cook. I am always trying new recipes and cuisines. I also enjoy dancing and scrapbooking.

JustinaI went to Jacksonville University to earn my bachelor's degree in sustainability, and I went on to graduate school for an environmental engineering degree. I feel that education opens up many opportunities for students, so I'm invested in the success of my students. I worked with students across all ages and levels of ability, mostly with math subjects. I believe in setting goals with my students, both long-term and short-term. The shorter goals help students to feel like they can attain success consistently, and while that is happening I'm helping students develop problem-solving skills. I tutor algebra, calculus, differential equations, geometry, linear algebra, precalculus, English, chemistry, essays, English grammar, study skills, and others. In my spare time, I like to work on cars and go on hikes.
