WilliamMy philosophy as a tutor centers around curiosity. I believe that curiosity is imperative for success because it drives students to answer new questions. My experience as a teacher has taught me that every student learns differently. As such, I am willing and able to change the way I teach to fit with what works best for each student. I am currently attending Vanderbilt University and I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in American studies. I am comfortable tutoring students in a wide range of subject areas, including middle school reading comprehension, high school writing, and pre-algebra, among others. I am also able to tutor students in French. In my spare time, I enjoy sailing, playing the piano and guitar, singing, and running.

EdgarI am an experienced educator who has worked with students of all ages. I have taught undergraduate and graduate students in a university setting, homeschooled high school students, and volunteered as an elementary/middle school instructor. I believe that tutoring is all about teaching, guiding, counseling, and empowering students, so that's what I try to do in every session. My favorite subjects to teach are Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, and Spanish, but I'm also comfortable with Finance, Geography, and World History. I have an extensive background as a student myself, earning multiple master's degrees (Global Political Economy and Finance and Economic Theory and Policy) and a Ph.D (Economics) before concentrating on teaching. I also enjoy reading, soccer, and philosophy.
