Working as a teacher, I've had the pleasure of motivating students from the point where they don't want to begin the process of learning, to having an "a-ha" moment. It's always a pleasure to help them on the adventure that is their educational journey. I believe there is something they can learn every day. I have worked with learners as young as preschool to middle school. I attended Midwestern State University. There, I earned my bachelor's in Special Education. I work with students in many different subjects that include everything from Elementary Math, High School through College English, College Geography, Social Studies, Arithmetic, American History, Writing, Phonics, Middle School Math, Reading, and taking the ISEE from lower level to high school level. I'm skilled in special education, and happy to work with students as they develop their homework skills. In my free time I love watching movies and shows on Netflix, and reading books to relax. When I'm active, I love to play basketball, go on road trips, and work in my yard. I also love to play with my dog.Education

I do my best to always give my pupils the tips and techniques that they need to succeed on their own. Whether I am teaching critical reading skills for the GRE or SAT, helping give context to World History, or developing writing strategies, I do my best to teach important concepts in a way that will make the most sense to each individual. I have a whole list of skills and experiences to share with your child. I have plenty of experience, including a Bachelor of American Studies at Smith College. I also have a Master of International Studies and I am a National Merit Scholar. As I was earning my Master's, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant. I have also taught English in South Korea on a full-time basis. My all-time favorite subjects to study and tutor are government, civics, English, history, and critical reasoning. I am looking forward to meeting new students and helping them hone in on their skills. When I am not teaching or tutoring, you can find me spending time with my family, reading, and studying popular culture.Education

I've three years of experience as a math teacher at the high school level. This experience has helped me understand what to look out for when working with students to assist them in their understanding of math. There a lot of common pitfalls in math subjects, as well as concepts attended be more challenging than others. I can help students work through these obstacles and any others. My goal is that every student I work with find success in math and becomes confident in their abilities. Courses I can tutor include algebra one and two, algebra three - four, and geometry. In my free time, I like to watch TV, cook, read, and travel.Education
