StephenI believe every student is capable of success, and it's my job to figure out how to make students excited and motivated to work through their learning obstacles and learn successfully. Every student learns differently, and helping students understand their learning style and how to take advantage of it is the best path to success. I tutor algebra, biology, chemistry, physics, calculus, elementary school math, middle school math, pre-calculus, nutrition, statistics, trigonometry, paleontology, microbiology, cell biology, geology, physical chemistry, test preparation, and more. In my spare time, I enjoy basketball, golf, and learning.

RyanI'm a tutor as well as a part-time instructor of philosophy. I have a philosophy doctorate from Syracuse. Besides philosophy, I love teaching. I really enjoy the process of helping students build a better understanding of the topic as well as problem-solving and critical thinking skills they can use throughout their academic careers. I've taught a number of philosophy courses over the past seven years, including critical thinking, social theory, human nature, and ethics. I've tutored students in philosophy and ethics, writing essays, and psychology. I've also helped students develop organizational and study skills, including time management. In addition, I can help students prepare for standardized tests, including the GRE. I look forward to working with you!

RaulI'm currently attending the University of New Mexico to earn my bachelor's degree in history and Spanish. I'm very interested in Latin American history, and I plan to write my honors thesis on it. As a tutor, I enjoy helping students develop their proficiency of the Spanish language and learn about Latin American history and Spanish culture. I grew up speaking both English and Spanish, so I'm very knowledgeable about the Spanish language and can effectively communicate to students who are learning the language the intricacies of it. I believe that the most effective teachers are knowledgeable about the subject and invested in the success of students. They stay on top of changes in the field, and always put students in a position to be prepared for their own futures. They also help students develop lifelong learning skills so that they can be successful in other courses, in their careers, and in life. I've always enjoyed sharing what I knew with others to help them learn new things, and I'm always excited to have the opportunity to help others develop new skills. Outside of my responsibilities as a student and tutor, I enjoy doing yoga and cardiovascular exercise, living a healthy lifestyle, and learning new things on my own.
