TarahI'm a tutor based in Tampa, Florida. I have two bachelor's degrees from Pitzer College "€ one in organizational studies and another in Africana studies. I also have a master of business administration degree from Marylhurst University. I consider myself to be a world traveler. I've visited over 25 countries in my life, and have lived on three different continents. Tutoring has been a constant presence throughout my travels. In South Korea, for example, I taught English to middle school-aged students and continued to tutor when I arrived home in the United States. I'm able to provide tutoring services across a wide array of subjects, including science, literature, and social studies. I believe that every student is unique, and therefore I target my lesson plans to reach the individual needs of every student I work with. Through targeted lesson plans, I've seen the most growth out of my students. Outside of the classroom I really enjoy traveling, playing music, reading, and watching documentaries. I am also a part of a few community groups that work towards improving the world we live in. I am excited to use my background and experience to help you reach your goals.

ChristinaI'm a tutor based in Tampa, Florida, who is certified to teach students art from grades K - 12 and English from grades 6 - 12. Currently, I'm working with students in a hybrid online learning program, which was established for those students who haven't found success in a regular educational environment. I also work as a tutor for adults at a local technical college. Here, I cover a diverse range of subjects like math, reading, and language. I also help students prepare to take standardized exams. Lastly, I have experience working with special needs children as my own youngest child was born with Down Syndrome. I truly understand that every child learns differently, and I incorporate that fact into my teaching style. I am passionate about teaching kids, and I transfer that passion for learning to my students. Through targeted lesson plans and consistent practice, I know that no matter what your challenges are in the classroom, we can overcome them together. When I'm not in classroom I love spending time with my family, making art, and playing music. Above all, I'd be honored to use what I've learned throughout my career to help you reach your educational goals. Please contact me if I can be of assistance.

AlissahI'm currently studying at the University of South Florida for my bachelor's degrees in biomedical science and psychology. I have a broad range of academic interests, and I'm a member of the chemistry society on campus. Through the chemistry society, I've had the opportunity to tutor students in math and science subjects. This experience has helped me develop the ability to modify my approach based on the learning style and study habits of my students. I believe that a solid foundation in the core concepts of the subject is the key to being successful in it, so I focus on helping students get there. I can tutor algebra, calculus, biochemistry, geometry, elementary math, psychology, chemistry, organic chemistry, public speaking, microbiology, literature, ESL, Spanish, writing, art, and test preparation for the ACT, SAT, and others. When I have free time, I like to do outdoor activities, practice yoga, draw, work on my screenplay, and lift weights.
