MonicaI'm attending UC - Davis for my bachelor's degree in political science. I'm looking forward to law school in the future, which helps working in public policy. My tutoring experience includes working with everyone from elementary school students to college students. My tutoring specialties are history, English, writing, reading, politics, and government, all areas I have a strong academic background in. I like to make connections with my students and work alongside them to help them achieve their goals. In addition to the subjects I tutor, I can also help students prepare for the ACT and other standardized tests. In my free time, I enjoy sports, and I play on the women's softball club. I also enjoy listening to music, dancing, reading, and politics.

MollyI have a decade of teaching experience, and I love my job. I've known I wanted to be a teacher since I was a fifth-grader. I like to help students develop confidence in their abilities, and I enjoy working with students to fill their knowledge gaps, turning weaknesses to strengths. When students can overcome learning obstacles become confident, the opportunities available to them are endless. I attended Sonoma State University to earn my bachelor's degree in history, and then I went on to Sacramento State to become credentialed as a teacher. I spent the past 7 1/2 years working for a charter school focused on independent study, and I'm also substitute teaching. As a tutor, I want to have a positive effect on my students and provide them with the knowledge every student deserves. When I have free time, I like to travel, volunteer, and play with my rescue dogs.

JosephI earned my bachelor of science in Biological Sciences from the University of California in Merced, where I graduated with highest honors, and a minor in Psychology. In the future, I intend to continue my education in an as yet undecided health care related area. While in college, I worked for a research lab, while developing a great affinity for science, and improving my interpersonal skills. I have spent my entire college career helping other students understand their various classes, and showing them creative ways to approach problems. I learned that with my support and ability to engage them in the subject they were working on, I was really able to help them succeed. I tutor in various science and math topics. When a student of mine is having a tough time, I help them break down exercises into their most basic parts and build up from there, and then we get excited once they reach the solution. I have faith in my students, that they can achieve amazing accomplishments. My job is to guide them with patience, and find ways to engage them to stay interested and on track. In my spare time, I enjoy sports and music.
