WendyI graduated from Jacksonville University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology. Today I help children with learning disabilities and other learning difficulties, and in particular, I have quite a bit of experience helping students with dyslexia. I've been helping children improve their reading skills for the past seven years. I can help students with reading fluency, reading comprehension, and spelling. I regularly make use of symbols to improve the students orthographic and phonological processing, which help students build a picture in their minds with their spelling and reading. I also have experience as a substitute teacher. I like to tutor students in reading fluency and comprehension, spelling, vocabulary building, and elementary math. To me, reading is the most important skill to develop, because it forms a baseline for everything else in your academic career.

FeliciaHi, my name is Felicia and I'm a tutor based out of Panama City, Florida. I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of North Florida and have spent time tutoring students at various ages up to the college sophomore level. Given my background, I'm able to help students from grades K-12 with their math coursework. As a tutor, I allow my students to go through their work independently. Then, I go back over it with them and guide them through the correct way to answer the question. I've found that this approach helps students see the mistakes they're making, which allows us to correct them together. If you need help with math, reach out to me. I'd love to work with you.

BarbaraI'm a tutor who is based out of Jacksonville, Florida, where I enjoy singing and writing poetry when I'm not in the classroom working with students. As a tutor, I'm able to help students in a variety of subject areas. Some of the lessons I've taught in the past have been in computer science, English as a second language, and writing, amongst other things. I'm currently working as an instructional coach, where I specialize in reading for students in grades 1 - 12. I also help students prepare for the ACT. I have over 22 years of teaching experience, which has taught me that every student has the potential to master any subject they dedicate themselves to. As a tutor, I see it as my role to help my students by guiding them in a way that allows them to unlock their full potential. I love using the latest technology to really engage my students and keep them interested in our lessons. I get to know my students and create a fun environment where they actually enjoy coming to work with me. I provide individualized lesson plans that help my students by providing targeted exercises and feedback suited to their specific strengths and weaknesses.
