I am currently attending the University of Nevada Las Vegas and majoring in computer science. I started tutoring students as a high school student. I worked as a teacher's assistant at a Math and Reading Learning Center and helped students complete math homework. I spent three years working there and really enjoyed my time tutoring. As a result, I am interested in getting back into it. My favorite part of tutoring was being able to work with a variety of different students and finding ways to help them fully appreciate what they were working on. My primary focus with tutoring involves math. I am comfortable tutoring students in college algebra, pre-algebra, algebra, pre-calculus, and differential equations. I can also help students prepare for standardized tests, such as the SAT and ACT. My goal as a tutor is to ensure that my students feel completely comfortable with whatever they are working on. Rather than just teaching them how to solve individual problems, I want to make sure my students understand how to complete each problem by themselves. But more importantly, I also want to make sure that my students have fun because this encourages further learning. In terms of hobbies, I enjoy playing video games and sports.Education

I graduated from Wright State University with a bachelor's in integrated language arts and a master's in education. I developed a passion for English in grade school that only grew over the years. While enrolled at WSU, I worked with a variety of students of all ages from unique backgrounds. My focus was to tutor "at-risk" school district middle and high school students in ESL. I worked with those students to strengthen their grasp of the English language in terms of reading, writing, and speaking. I believe that writing is invaluable to us both in professional and personal life. Students must be able to express themselves in writing. I strive to tutor each subject while interweaving written assignments to express their understanding of the topics at hand. Private tutoring requires immense personalization for optimal success. I talk with and learn about the student to assess their learning style, preferences, strengths, and weaknesses. I focus on building their skills while working through the more challenging topics at a natural pace. I can help students develop a better understanding of American and European histories or prepare for their college application essays. Regardless of my students goals, I can work with them to achieve them.Education

I'm a tutor who is based out of Las Vegas, where I enjoy cooking, going to the movies, and playing darts when I'm not in the classroom working with students. I have my bachelor's degree in film studies from the University of Pittsburgh and my master's of fine arts in screenwriting. I have written three, feature-length screenplays, and have been a tutor for the past 15 years. I have tutored both online and in-person in the subjects of math, science, and social studies for students from grades third to eighth. I've also tutored up to the college level in the subjects of English and French. I'm a fluent French speaker and thoroughly enjoy helping students improve their own French language skills. I've also worked as an instructor for 7th grade students and was a private tutor in a program geared towards traveling athletes. All of this means that I have a deep background working as a tutor in a variety of settings and with a variety of students. I love working collaboratively with my students to help them finally find a breakthrough moment in a subject that they've been struggling with for awhile. I'm excited to help new students reach their goals and achieve success.Education
