YeeI was raised in Sacramento, which is where I completed my elementary, middle, and high school education. As someone who knows the area, I have an idea of what local students need to succeed - especially those from under-resourced schools. I've worked in education for some time, helping students prepare for tests and improve their understanding of various subjects. Along with tutoring students from elementary all the way to high school, I also taught biology to students in 7th grade. I believe that the most important component of being a good teacher is having an emotional investment in your students. I don't' simply want my students to do well on tests; I also want them to develop a love for education that helps them succeed in all parts of life. As a teacher, I work hard to come up with unique and creative ways to connect with my students. It's my goal to make the learning experience as enjoyable as possible, so that students always look forward to studying. I also believe that every person has their own preferred learning style, which is why I adjust my teaching methods to cater to the individual. When I'm not teaching, I love spending time outdoors, as well as reading and baking.

ScottI graduated from Sacramento State University with a business degree. My concentration was accounting. I've spent 20 years as an account, but I also enjoy helping others learn new things. I believe tutoring is a two-way street, and I learn for my students in the same way that they learn for me. I want to help students by being a role model and mentor, and I want students to pick up additional skills beyond an understanding of the subject we study together. I'm looking forward to helping students learn accounting, algebra, economics, business, and related topics. When I have free time, I like to watch movies, play games, listen to music, and spend time with my family.

AshleyI attended Sacramento State University and received a bachelor's in English and a TESOL certification. After graduation, I honed my skills while working as an educational assistant for various areas. My skills allow me to tutor students in creative writing, photography, and athletics. While my experience in tutoring has been with elementary students and graduate students alike, I particularly enjoy tutoring young adults and teenagers. I offer tutoring sessions for a variety of subjects, including creative writing, academic essays, expository writing, British literature, and personal statements. Students who don't speak English as their primary language are safe with me. I am capable of assisting them in improving their language skills and boost their confidence in speaking English. I have a deep love for literary and language analysis, English, writing, and reading. As a tutor, I firmly believe that collaboration is the most important part of learning. Students and I myself work together to build their lessons plans. If a student wants to skip over certain aspects of the subject, they don't have to go over material they are confident in. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading and writing creative nonfiction. In addition, I adore photography, hiking, competitive volleyball, and cooking.
