RosabelleAs a tutor, I aim to strengthen the conceptual foundation in a student's knowledge. Building the skills they will use throughout their lives is invaluable and rewarding. While traditional classroom-based learning can leave gaps in a child's knowledge, one-on-one tutoring can fill them in and tie the knowledge together for future success. Education is a necessity to life and does a great deal to enhance one's quality of living. Through knowledge, we can contribute to the rest of the world. I work with students of all ages to help them build vital skills in Spanish, math, and study skills, among others. Each session is centered around the student's individual academic and personal goals. I strive to make learning fun and engaging, using a variety of unique teaching methods while factoring in my student's personal learning style. My experiences in teaching ESOL and student success at a college level taught me the value in one-on-one attention, understanding, and patience. I work at my student's natural learning pace to allow them ample time to learn the information completely. In my free time, I love playing logical and strategic games, particularly Chess, Stratego, and Risk. I enjoy finding new ways to use the same pieces.

JasmineI'm committed to the success of my students. Some of the techniques I use as a tutor are relating concepts to things students know and understand in their daily lives, breaking down concepts and problem-solving into simpler steps that are easy to follow, coaching students and test taking techniques, and providing support, encouragement, and fun and our sessions. I can tutor elementary level math, biology, writing, essays, literature, history, social studies,, reading, test preparation, and more. In my free time, I like to write, read, sing, act, do crafts, and run.

ElizabethI graduated from the University of Florida with my bachelor's in biology and pre-medical courses completed. I worked for the UF's Department of Infectious Diseases and Pathology for a couple of years as a biological scientist and researcher. I worked for three years as a science teacher and one as a math teacher. I am comfortable teaching and tutoring students from elementary to college level math and science. As a tutor, I strive to be patient as I engage my students in the concepts at hand. Whether I am reviewing key concepts of introductory physiology or preparing a student for their AP computer science exam, I can help them build invaluable skills that are necessary beyond school. As I tutor, I use visual demonstrations, mnemonic devices, phrases, songs, and rhymes to make learning more fun and effective. Through creative and unique teaching methods, students can develop a deeper connection to the materials, allowing them to learn it more thoroughly. I am capable of tutoring in biomedical engineering, IB environmental systems and societies, IB physics, and anatomy and physiology, among others. I am an active person outside of my academics. I love to spend time outdoors hiking, spending time at the beach, and just exploring nature.
