ZachI'm currently enrolled at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and am pursuing a bachelor's degree in biochemistry. I've always been a strong student with good study habits and organizational skills, which is why I graduated from high school with a perfect GPA and scored highly on my ACT. With that said, I also understand that succeeding in the classroom is a skill in its own right that requires more than just studying coursework. For this reason, I decided to work as a tutor so that I can assist struggling students with developing the same study skills that helped me succeed in the classroom. I love teaching and learning and find it to be incredibly rewarding to empower students by sharing my own knowledge and experiences with them. Along with test prep, I also like to tutor physics, chemistry, and biology. I enjoy tutoring in a one-on-one setting because it lets me get to know the student so that I can come up with custom-tailored material with their strengths and weaknesses in mind. My goal is to motivate students to become confident and motivated to achieve greater things. When I'm not studying, I like to spend my time watching movies, listening to music, and playing basketball.

HannahI earned my bachelor of arts degree in Global Studies, which I studied at the Long Island University's LIU Global program. I wrote my thesis about how play and games affect learning. This lets you know right away that I like to make tutoring sessions as entertaining as possible. I believe building up a student's curiosity for a subject helps them learn it better. This works well for me, as I tutor students in Spanish, or in English as a Second Language, and there is much fun to be had in learning to express ourselves in a whole new way through a new language. I like to work with individual students, where I first identify the student's interests, strengths, and goals, and that design customized lessons based on these factors, adjusting as necessary throughout our time together. I have a wide variety of tutoring experience with a diverse group of students, including the time I tutored students learning English in Thailand, and devising and implementing Spanish curriculum for students who are homeschooled. I believe in experiential learning, so I use things like movies, games, music, and other hands-on activities in lessons, along with quizzes and tests to encourage students by showing them their improvement.

ColeI'm currently attending UW - Madison for my graduate degree in industrial engineering. I also attended Madison for a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, earning a business certificate as well. I've always loved education, and I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to share my love of learning with others. I started tutoring in high school as a volunteer, and I continue to tutor through college. Because of my academic background, I can tutor lots of science and math courses such as chemistry, physics, and calculus. I also enjoy helping students prepare for the SAT, ACT, AP exams, and other standardized tests. I enjoy helping students develop critical thinking and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to think quickly. In my free time, I enjoy cribbage with friends and family, ultimate Frisbee, football, and reading.
