SophieI graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a bachelor's degree in cultural studies and comparative literature. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in literature from the University of California-Santa Cruz. While I enjoy the writing and reading that goes along with graduate school, my favorite aspect of the program is my work as a teaching assistant. This gives me the opportunity to help college students improve their writing and reading skills. I really enjoy finding out students' personalities and interests and seeing how their unique perspectives are revealed in their writing. I've also found that students' writing improve the most when we worked together individually, which stoked my interest in tutoring. Outside of teaching, I enjoy cooking, drawing playing the piano, singing, and reading.

MylesI have a bachelor's degree in hotel and motel management from Kendall College and a master's degree in educational administration from Cardinal Stritch University. I firmly believe that learning is a lifelong process. I think that education should support and encourage independent thinking and give the student the ability to experiment and explore with their internal worlds. With the rapidly changing world, students should develop the personal values and thinking skills that adapt to the changing world around them. I am available to help with many subjects such as test prep, writing, science, phonics, math, and many more. I enjoy writing, reading, eating, cars, and traveling in my free time.

JosephI have taught high school for more than seven years. I have been teaching science and social studies, as well as special education. I enjoy working with teenagers and college students the most, but I also have experience tutoring elementary students. I have extensive experience helping those with Autism, Down Syndrome, Aspergers, and cognitive disabilities. For the past two or more years, I have been helping students prepare for the ACT. I enjoy tutoring in ACT prep because I am passionate about the college application process. I am also available to tutor subjects such as writing, physics, phonics, composition, and many others. When I find free time, I like traveling, lifting weights, and politics.
