SarahI have eight years of experience as a teacher, and I am comfortable working with students across all ages and levels of ability to help them develop an appreciation of history. I've also had experience as a scorer for the AP US history exam, so I know what is expected on the test and can share that to help students prepare. I use differentiated instruction and multiple teaching methodologies to help students understand history and retain important information, including video and music. I love history, and I love helping students get excited about it. In my spare time, I enjoy blogging and podcasting, gardening, canning, cooking, and reading.

JuliannyCurrently I am attending the University of Buffalo for my bachelor's degree in biotechnology. I intend to continue my education and eventually earn a doctoral degree in microbiology. I enjoy working in the lab and researching for big discoveries. As a tutor, I believe that a student can achieve success if they believe in themselves. I tutor subjects like anatomy and physiology, organic chemistry, physics, general chemistry, biochemistry, biology, cell biology, and more. When I have spare time, I enjoy eating good food and going on hikes.

DanielI'm attending the University at Buffalo to earn my bachelor's in math with a concentration in computer science. I have one year to go before I graduate. Math is my favorite subject, both fascinating and challenging. I strive to pass on a thorough understanding and appreciation for the subject, whether I am tutoring a student in any level of algebra, mathematical logic, statistics, or calculus concepts. When I work with a student, I work hard to identify the best way to explain the material to ensure that they can fully comprehend the information. I believe it is important to keep the information relevant and interesting, so the student can fully absorb and recall the material. I encourage the student to make a connection to the concepts to develop a solid conceptual foundation to expand on. Tutoring is a valuable educational resource that allows a student to fill in any conceptual gaps left by traditional classroom-based academia. I can prepare my students to take the SAT and ACT subject tests, whether we need to review the material or cover various testing strategies to improve their performance. When I'm not tutoring, I play drums and guitar in a rock band with my friends.
