MatthewI am attending Notre Dame for degrees in biomedical engineering and biology. I participate in philosophy, chemistry, biology clubs, work as an RA, and play for the varsity soccer team. Also I volunteer at nursing homes and coach soccer. I can help students with science and math topics from beginner to advanced, including calculus, biology, and others. I can also help students with test prep, Spanish, or help with a variety of other subjects.

LisaI believe every student can learn as long as the educator can match their learning style and pace, and can build on their strengths and accentuate their areas of opportunity. I prefer the one-on-one approach tutoring provides, because it allows me to work directly with a student and directly on their goals, which is more efficient and effective. I have tutoring experience helping students in college with reading and writing. I have also taught many grades at the elementary school level. I find it rewarding to work with young students and with university students, and I excel in the ability to take unique approaches with each of these students.

KathleenI earned my graduate degree in education and am an elementary school teacher with an endorsement as a literacy intervention specialist. I love working with elementary school students in all subjects and with students of all ages who need help improving their reading and writing skills. Some of the specific courses I tutor include elementary math, reading, writing, essay editing, phonics, math, English, AP English language and composition, English grammar and syntax, general homework support. I truly that teaching is my calling and it is one of the things I am most passionate about. I know that when a teacher is truly passionate about the subject they teach it can help motivate students and make the lessons more engaging and accessible. I strive to inspire a love of learning in each of my students. It is important to me to discover each student's learning style, motivations, interests, and stumbling blocks regardless of their age or the subject with which they are struggling. These are the types of details that allow me to provide the most effective and personalized learning experience which makes it possible for my students to reach their academic goals as quickly as possible. When learning is fun it is far easier!
