I'm attending the Indiana University School of Medicine. I went to Indiana University for my bachelor's degree in neuroscience. I also minored in psychology and sociology. Between college and medical school, I worked at the University of Iowa studying brain science and was an EMT. Before medical school, I also worked in SAT test preparation. As a tutor, I customize my approach to each student and to each subject. One thing that always stays consistent is my focus on helping students become confident. I accomplish this by providing students with test taking strategies and giving them practice questions to work through. When students are confident, they are more likely to be successful. It's rewarding for me to see students succeed. I can tutor students in English, psychology, study skills, writing, and preparation for the MCAT, SAT, and other standardized tests.Education

I am a student at University of Indianapolis who is pursuing my undergraduate chemistry degree. I began tutoring as a high school student, and I have continued to tutor in college. I also serve as a TA in chemistry courses such as intro chemistry, general chemistry, and organic chemistry. I get along well with my students, and I believe that all students can learn chemistry successfully. It's often true that students just haven't had chemistry explained to them in a way that they can understand it. As a tutor, I focus on figuring out how students learn best and then teach them in that way. I'm also very patient, and I'm comfortable going over material repeatedly trying different explanations until we find one that works. In my free time, I enjoy reading and volunteering.Education

I attended Arizona State University where I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature and Transborder Chicano and Latino Studies. I later attended Indiana University Maurer School of Law where I earned my JD. I have tutored many of my peers, served as a writing tutor, and co-taught a class at ASU. I have a passion for languages, whether it is learning Spanish as a foreign language or teaching English as a Second Language, and I hope I instill that same passion in my students. I enjoy sharing my love of both learning and teaching, and I feel I can connect with students and help them to excel academically, whether we are preparing for standardized testing or constructing a well-worded essay. I hope we connect and can work together on Spanish, ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Literature, English Grammar and Syntax, College Essays, English, LSAT Analytical Reasoning, LSAT Essay Section, LSAT Logical Reasoning, LSAT Reading Comprehension, LSAT, Graduate Test Prep, Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Languages, High School English, College English, or Comparative Literature. My pastimes include teaching and practicing yoga, reading books of any genre, gardening, and trying new recipes in the kitchen.Education
