NanetteRight now, I am a graduate student enrolled in the humanities program at Cal State Northridge - Tseng College. When I am not working towards my graduate degree, I am working as a substitute teacher at a nearby high school. I love teaching and working with students. I have a bachelor's degree from Western Washington University in liberal studies, with a concentration in the history of culture. My minor is in art history. I first started tutoring as a way to help my friends and classmates with their studies during my time as a middle school student. Ever since, I've enjoyed being an educator. I am passionate about helping others better understand subjects.

LukasI grew up steeped in Japanese culture, as my grandparents lived there for most of their lives. I grew up in a Japanese household, even though we were in America, and am able to switch between Japanese cultural norms and American cultural norms fluidly. My goal is to one day teach English to people in Japan. I have my bachelor's degree in Japanese studies from the Riverside campus of the University of California, so I am able to tutor Japanese speaking students in English, and English speaking students in Japanese, as well as public speaking and writing. I have learned to focus on each individual student and their goals. My hobbies include reading, traveling, and watching anime.
